Freecaster received Innovation Award

For the 33rd edition of the Alfers, the economic awards of the province of Namur, five awards were bestowed by a Jury composed of representatives of the province and of Namur and economic operators including the UC, Namur Invest and the AWEX.

Specializing in the field of live audiovisual capture and streaming (live streaming on the Internet), Freecaster stands out with its technological innovation. The company was already rewarded internationally by Apple in 2004 for the best streaming solution of the year.

On its early stages, Freecaster was a video platform specializing in extreme sports. In 2016, Freecaster took a new step by providing the video technology of the RTBF Auvio platform and from 2018 it has become a major player in the field of fashion both for its live recording in 4K and for its video platform.
Created in 1999 by Raymond Dulieu, Freecaster currently has 21 employees in the offices of Naninne (Belgium) (company headquarters) and Paris (France).

Among its customers, are several fashion houses such as Givenchy, Louis Vuitton, Chloé, Saint Laurent, but also Mosaert, the production house of the Belgian artist Stromae… and the province of Namur. The Tomorrowland music festival is live streamed by Freecaster since 2015.

In a technological world governed by the GAFA, YouTube and international companies for the most part listed on the stock market, Freecaster distinguishes itself by its know-how, its innovation and its service. 70% of its turnover is realized abroad and mainly in France. Since January 1st, Freecaster belongs to Broadcasting Center Europe, a subsidiary of the RTL group specializing in technology services for television channels, radios and media groups.
